Charleston Red Beans and Rice with Sausage

Ingredients

  • One 8oz package of Charleston Red Rice

  • 2 cups of water

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 16 oz package of any sausage, chopped- Polska Keilbasa is a favorite with great flavor

  • 16 oz can of red beans, drained


Directions

  1. In a large skillet over med/high heat, add sausage and heat until slightly brown on either side.

  2. Add in water and butter and bring to a boil.

  3. Stir in rice and beans and bring back to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat to low simmer and cover.

  5. Let cook for 25 minutes. Do not uncover dish until timer goes off.

  6. Stir and serve immediately.

  7. Enjoy!
