Charleston Red Beans and Rice with Sausage
Ingredients
One 8oz package of Charleston Red Rice
2 cups of water
2 tablespoons butter
16 oz package of any sausage, chopped- Polska Keilbasa is a favorite with great flavor
16 oz can of red beans, drained
Directions
In a large skillet over med/high heat, add sausage and heat until slightly brown on either side.
Add in water and butter and bring to a boil.
Stir in rice and beans and bring back to a boil.
Reduce heat to low simmer and cover.
Let cook for 25 minutes. Do not uncover dish until timer goes off.
Stir and serve immediately.
